Pictured is my new (for me) Sig P6 bought from a Gun Broker auction.
$400, 1 magazine, no box.
This replaces a P6 stolen out of my truck last year.
This pistol shows very little holster wear and barrel and ramp look excellent.

Dealt with a good dealer, shipping was fast and no problmo with my FFL recipient in Houston.

Happy guy today!

I hope you like it. The P6 is a solid gun. I must say I am surprised you settled on another P6 though. Personally, I think the P6 was a steal when they were selling for sub $300 with two mags. At $400 I think it is pretty easy to do better for the money. One can get a P226 for $450 or so. Also the the SP2022 can be had for $350 plus transfer and IMHO is a better gun than the P6 (lighter, higher capacity, feeds hollow points reliably, parts and mags are easier to come by). If one wants to go beyond DA/SA sigs there are a whole bunch of guns for $400 that compare vary favorably to the P6.

I had already invested in accessories for my stolen P6 (Holster/Clips/Etc) for my stolen P6 that made the decision a little easier.
I totally agree that the 6 was a bargain at $300, but if you look at what they go for now, I am still nearly $100 under the average price.
Also, I am not a big fan of polymer pistols..

german´s are not overly famous for being funny.
But who wants a funny gun?

:)
It´s got that typical german tool look to it.

I've still got mine from back when they were $275. Its the gun I did my qualification for my CWP with (even though I've never actually carried it). I'm not a fan of the sights, and I still want to try swapping out the hammer spring for the commercial weight version (would have already done this but I've heard horror stories on the difficulty of that swap :)), but overall its a rock-solid gun.

Congrats on the replacement - looks like pretty decent condition at a pretty good price.

Congratulations, I think they're very nice, and a bargain at $400.00.

I had shot other folks Sig's for years, and thought they were very nice - but they weren't worth what they were asking, at least to me.

I decided to take a chance @ $275.00 when the P6's first flooded the market, and bought one that was made in 1997. I went to the range not long after, and liked it so much I immediately trotted back to the store to buy another one, adhering to the old adage "if you find something you like, buy two, because they'll quit making it".

If one already has mags and a quality holster that certainly can change the financial evaluation vis-a-vis buying a new gun, 5-10 mags, and a good holster.

The P6 is a good gun. I wish they were still available at the prices they sold for a few years ago.

I know that prices vary regionally. Locally, I see them listed for $400-$450. I've never seen one sale at $500 (I'm not sure I've even seen one listed for that here). There is nothing wrong with the P6 but given the price of other west german sigs and used sigs generally, I can't fathom why anyone would pay $500 or even $450 for a P6. That is the price of other, better, used sigs.

I got my "average"($500) price from Gun Broker (where I purchased my P6.)
If you care to look there, you will see one currently listed for $900.
Bud's has police trade-in P220's for $530+shipping.
I value a buck as much as the next guy and lament the fact that you can't buy a P6 for $235 (What I paid for the stolen pistol)

FWIW, I took the P6 out today and it ran like a sewing machine.

Listed prices or sold prices? Those are often VERY different. I see guns listed here locally all the time for more than one can buy a new one for. That doesn't mean anyone is dumb enough to pay that. Considering it just took me about 24 seconds to find a P6 online for $400 I'm not sure why someone would pay $500 on gun broker. Of course there are other places trying to get more than that for one. Having owned various sigs, personally, I would rather have a P2022 at $350 than a P6 at $500. I would also rather own a P226/229/228 than the P6. I believe I paid $550 for my LNIB sig 229 it is IMHO much more than $50 better than the P6. Of course everyone has their own criteria and way of assessing value.

I am not a sig guy and I know nothing about a P6, but I know about buying guns and about getting what you need and/or want. You wanted a Sig P6 and you found one at a price you were willing to pay, so I say CONGRADS on the purchase. Thanks for posting a picture and happy shooting.

Congrads! If you snooze you loose. I bought a P-1 instead, that I like, and missed the great prices on the P6.
