    All,
I have decided on a P225/P6 as my next purchase. But, I can not figure out where to buy from....

Dan's Sporting Goods has them listed as such:
SIG SAUER Pistols 9mm. Designated P6 by the West German Army. These are military and police weapons. High quality West German made at a surplus price! Inspected and cleaned. Very good condition, minimal handling/holster wear. Original finish, not reparked or reblued. Includes holster, extra magazine, magazine pouch, manual and cleaning kit.
    $299.00

CDNN has them listed as such:
Rare P6 Marked, West German Police. This rare collectible version of SIGS 225 is only Marked P6 on the slide. Single Stack 8rd mag with original case. Used Mags $24.95. Like New Condition $339.00

The question is can anyone tell me if the Dan's Very Good condition guns are maybe graded a little low, they do come with the extra mag, so if the conditions are close it is a better deal.

But, if they CDNN guns are like new and Dans are just graded at 80%, then the CDNN price is better and I can add a couple of mags.

    Any input?

Just to give you a few other avenues

From what I have read (I am looking to purchase but have not yet):
I would say that the Dan's 259.99, Aim 259.99, CFS 269.99 are about the same, light wear, good to very good external condition, all sound like very good to excellent internal condition.

The Dan's 299.99, MGS 299.99 and CDNN are probably about the same.

The MGS arsenal refurbished pistol I have no extra knowledge on.

In my experience CDNN is quite generous with their condition ratings. That isn't to say I wouldn't purchase it from them, only to make you aware their version of "like new" probably isn't the same as yours.

I would ask to see example photos of the importer markings from each source. Some of them can get very ugly and would be more important to me than overall condition.

I got one from CDNN, and there was zero wear on the inside of the slide, and all the finish wasn't gone from the barrel hood. I don't think it had ever been in a holster. Hadn't been out of the box much. Boy, does it have some butt ugly import marks though. I need to black them out.

Dan's is the retail side of PW Arms, the importer that distributes to everyone else. I've found that it's more of a crap shot with other companies than with Dan's. Keep in mind that other retailers are selling both P6s with import marks on the frame and slide whereas Dan's is now selling only those marked on the slide. If you've seen the different markings you'll probably prefer the slide marked ones.

I got the better grade from CDNN and it looks like new. There is one small holster wear mark on the tip of the trigger guard. Shots like a Sig -- dead accurate.
Like it so much that I finally understood the whole "Sig Thing." I now have a .45ACP Sig P220 on the way.:D

I got a used "VG with holster wear" P6 from Dans, and it had never been fired except for factory testing a few rounds, as near as I could tell.

It had a slight amount of belly-button lint in the rear of the slide, so I assume it had been carried, maybe a day, in the soft nylon pancake holster they sent with it.

But it had zero holster wear, and the frame rails still had all the black anodizing on them.
NO finish wear at all until I shot it the first time.

Then I bought some "Used" P6 mags from CDNN, and they were brand new P6 mags still in the SIG factory packaging.

I'd say either company is going to give you a lot more then you think you are going to get for the money!

I bought two P6 pistols from aimsurplus.com (one for me, another for my daughter), and later purchased another from Dan's. Dan's is near my home, and he let myself and a buddy from work handpick ours at his warehouse. We went through quite a pile of P6s and didn't see a bad one. I bought a 2/82 P6 from dan that looked like Schultz had left it sitting in a desk for 25 years. Spotless. My buddy bought two, one for him, one for his Dad. Both were in excellent shape. Two P6s are plenty for me, but we have sent a few more of our co-workers to Dan's and they have received the same treatment. Great guy to deal with.

PW should be beaten for the way they put the import mark on these.

Who has the best shipping deal? Does Dans have free shipping on ammo?
