I have been advised that carb cleaner will dissolve Loctite over time. Is there something else that you can suggest. I don't care about the specific chemical but I like the mechanical action that the spray provides. I generally use an oil/cleaner and tootbrush followed by a blasting with Gun Scrubber or similar spray and finish up with a light coating of oil. Any suggestions? Does anyone know if the "synthetic safe" stuff would dissolve the Loctite?
