I know there has been several forums on this stuff. I have read at least ten of them and I am just wanting to get an different opinion on certain cleaners instead of just asking what cleaner is best. I want something to clean the barrel and something to oil the gun so that I can set it back and not have to bring it out every so often to coat it again to keep it from rusting... I am leaning on ballistol and breakfree CLP. I have hoppes number nine cleaner as well and it seems to work quite well. So out of these three which should I stick with that you personally find to work the best? I know that some people use hoppes or ballistol and then breakfree to keep it oiled and protected. Others have said that ballistol cleans great and leaves a protective layer over it that makes it easier to clean every time. I don't know how true that is or if this actually makes the gun harder to clean... and again with breakfree CLP I want to know if it's actually a good oiler. I want something that won't evaporate and that will protect my gun the best as possible from rust while not being used. THanks for any advice and help!
