So I am going on a trip next week, and will be doing a lot of shooting, I would like to bring stuff to clean my gun, so I wont have to buy more when I'm out there.

So... Can I put small bottles of CLP etc (non-arisol) in my checked luggage?

I can't see why not, hairspray and other things are allowed, But I thought I'd ask here to see, the TSA website is not particuarly helpfull.

Checked luggage; do not believe you will have any problems. It is the carry on that gets liquids confiscated. I travel international at least every three months and carry lotions and all kinds of liquids in my checked baggage and have never had a problem. I usually check the luggage at the curb in the states or the international ticket counter. Good Luck.

If there's any doubt about taking them on the plane then do you have someplace at/near your destination to which you can mail the bottles? BTW, USPS has limits on shipping flammables but I don't know what they are.

If it is a flammable liquid you may not bring it. The examples cited of things folks think they can bring for specifically exempted items and materials. The TSA has nothing to do with it, check DOT regulations or call Breakfree at (800) 347-1200.
