Great article by SE Cupp

In the week before gun violence in Chicago left 14 people dead and another 68 wounded over the holiday weekend, it’s worth asking what the gun advocate groups were busy doing.

Many were engaged in an all-out assault on mass retailer Target for refusing to ban legal guns in their stores.

...SNIP...

By coercing businesses to cave into utterly meaningless demands, and by focusing largely on lawful gun owners — the only people who will submit to background checks, gun registries, magazine restrictions and other legislation — gun advocates may feel productive.

But the real problems — and victims — are left behind.

The writer is delusional himself. His point, as quoted above, contradicts himself.

I think the point that SHE is trying to make is that if these groups were really concerned about trying to stop violent crime committed with firearms, they would focus more on the criminals with guns and less on the NRA and lawful gun owners. Her suggestion of starting community programs to help stop kids from joining gangs and training them for jobs is a good alternative to pouring all of your resources into trying to stop law abiding citizens from carrying a defensive firearm into national retail stores.
