I know, I know, its not surprising that some gun control nut said that but I felt I needed to point it out. Here is the article where I found it...

Love song for firearms becomes an internet hit
AMY CORDEROY
January 25, 2010

STEVE LEE says he never set out to be an internet hit. He just loves guns - and thought he would write a song about it.

He says he is as shocked as anyone that his YouTube clip I Like Guns has been viewed more than 1.26 million times in the six weeks it has been online.

The paean to guns, produced by Bill Chambers - father of Kasey - features Lee shooting at everything from watermelons to cars, and with everything from muzzleloaders to a fully automatic M60 and a rocket-propelled grenade.

Steve Lee ... a shot from the YouTube clip that has topped 1 million hits.
Some of the guns are so dangerous that they are banned in Australia, meaning Mr Lee had to travel to Cambodia to film much of the clip.

Mr Lee, who usually performs with his wife and four children, was inspired to write the song many years ago because of negative media coverage of guns.

"When you watch movies firearms are portrayed as a bad thing … I wanted to show that they can be used for fun and sport and not violence.''

He had never posted a song online before and did not know just how popular his song would be.

"It's not every day you hear a story like this," he said. "[Posting clips on YouTube] is all new to me … I didn't think it would do that well.''

The song, which features lines such as ''[God] gave me this voice so I can be a singer, so you tell me why I've got a trigger finger'', has been particularly successful in the US, where the debate over gun control rages on.

He has been interviewed by US media, including a journalist from the National Rifle Association, and the song is No. 1 on the chart of the online music distributor CD Baby.

Mr Lee said that while he was happy about his overseas success, he would not like the issue of gun control in Australia to go the way of the US debate.

"You have got to abide by the law, and there are some people out there who shouldn't be able to use guns. [But] I like guns, and I use guns in the bush".

The President of Gun Control Australia, John Crook, said the song was irresponsible for portraying guns as fun and non-violent. "Guns are designed to kill. The gun control laws we have in Australia have only been obtained after thousands of people have been killed.''

I don't know, but I never knew that shooting at empty jars, vegetables (Perhaps he is a vegitarian) and a busted car was "irresponsible". What even made me more angry that less than 100 people were killed in Australia's gun massacres (disregarding the massacres in the early 1900s due to racial tension between whites and aboriginals). There are still an average of 60 people killed with the use of firearms in Australia in the years after the 1996 gun reform.

Never expect the truth from an anti rights activist. They believe that the ends justify the means, so it is perfectly acceptable to lie about the safe use of firearms. I saw the video, it's Ok.

If he was really that adamant about guns killing people, he'd be in favour of disarming the military and police of Australia.

Yeah, fat chance of that happening. He's not anti-gun, just pro-tyranny.

Considering the fact that Australia does not allow Age 18+ rated video games, and is close to passing a bill that labels material featuring small-breasted women a pedophilia charge, "too dangerous for Australia" is a veeeeeeeeeeery relative term LOL

For real...? So are they planning on arresting guys who have girlfriends or wives with A cups too, for suspected pedophilia. Are they planning on supplying free enhancements on their health service...

Sorry off topic I know but inquiring minds want to know.

There are several other links if you google it.

Unbelievable, is it wise even to travel to Australia for vacation?

Geez, you might get arrested for something like "Walking in public with a girlfriend who looks too young."

Looks to me like just another anti trying to get his name & message in the paper.
I ran across that Steve Lee video last week-I really liked it-my 4 year old nephew got a kick out of it too.

Wow. That is pretty radical. I think that the folks at this site:

Might think that this guy is a little over the edge and pandering to other, paranoid individuals.

EDIT- OK, I just came from the gun control Australia website. These guys are so radical that they are meaningless.

The Australian government reaction is no surprise to me. I would expect many controlling governments to have the same reaction. Our US President and his Attorney General probably feel the same way. But this is a grass roots thing and about people and fun. Great video.

Actually, this guy is only against gun control when it means HE can't have guns. He favors gun control for everyone else.

How sad.

You ruined a unique and interesting music video and song with reality!

He doesn't support freedom, just likes his own privileges.
Sounds like certain members of some Federal Agencies.

OK, then I don't feel so bad saying that his gun safety, particular trigger finger safety, could be a lot better.

Come to think about it, the video seems to be overly "in-your-face" to be coming from anybody who understands gun rights and wants to keep them.

Seeing the video made me think that the guy making it may have intended it as a parody of the American gun culture.

Any link to that War on gun blog ? both link are dead..

Do you guys mean that Steve Lee said he was in favour of gun control ?

EDIT: damn, watched the video... I'm happy I didnt buy anything from him... You can't make such a song, and then say that the gun control laws made in australia are respectable.. it's just non sense...

Im very disappointed..
