I stumbled upon this site today, looking for Pink AR-15 Furniture for my wife's rifle, thought it was kind of funny and makes about as much since as some gun laws do :uhoh:

Below is a cut & paste from the last section

The full web page --> http://www.a-human-right.com/looks.html

Good Guns are Pretty Guns

So, I have a simple proposal that would have as much effect on gun crime as a lot of the restrictions that have been passed in the last 13 years:
Make All Guns Pink.

That's right: Pink.

We know that psycho schoolkid killers think they are tough. They'd never use a pink gun. Have you ever heard of a psycho crazy using a pink weapon before? Absurd. Therefore, if all the guns are pink, we'll be safe. Safety orange and lime green will be OK, too, I suspect. No self-respecting psycho crazy'd be seen dead with a lime green .44 magnum.

Oh, and make it illegal to repaint them. Do you feel safe, now?

Much as I love open carry, it may be something I do a bit less in that world...

I read this guy's site over a while back.
He's pretty genious. ;D
I'd go for a bloo AR-15.
Maybe pink.

It really does follow the same exact logic as all of the other ridiculous gun laws, though. Because a psycho killer bent on attempting to annihilate every person in his workplace would surely be deterred if he felt he might look feminine doing it.

Hmmmm....nothing a can of flat-black Krylon won't cure. ;)

I keep looking for some purple CAR-15 furniture. Calvary Arms won't answer any of my emails nor will any of their dealers that I've been able to find on the internet. They used to offer all sorts of colors, including pink, but now they only advertise black, green, and tan.

Some of those colors would make great bases if you wanted to do a camo paintjob on your rifles. With some paints, it takes many coats to cover up the black plastic completely on an AR15. Now if you have a lighter color to start with, it will be easier to paint over.

I've been threatening to put pink plastic furniture on my brother's SAR-1 for years now... This might just be the opportunity I've been waiting for. Imagine this: hard-chrome all the metal surfaces, and then replace the wood with pink plastic.

Of course, I'll be removing all the ammo from his apartment before I do it.

There is a female instructor...

I sometimes teach firearms safety with that has done just that...furnitured her AR in pink with a Hello Kitty sticker.

I am conflicted as to these types of color schemes...one part of me says "A bit of odd humor is good." another part says "We should not trivilize the fact this tool can cause serious injury and death."

I'm thinking it is highly unlikely I'll outfit any gun of mine like that but again I doubt if I'd comment negatively to anyone else who did.

Didn't laugh the last time I was at the range with a friend and his daughters was sporting her's i t could have been the rifle + Beta C mag + EOTech holographic sight or it could have been a 7yr old able to put it on paper at 50yrds. :)

If one is walking down the street with a pink AR15, do you suppose anybody will laugh?

Slap a Hello Kitty sticker on the side of the stock while you're at it...

My wife has butter flys and another female Marine has flowers on thier issued NM M-16's. You don't catch what the stickers are at first, although with watch caps and leather shooting jackets on, the women don't stick out either.

Would the military and law enforcement be excluded, as usual?

The British SAS actually paint their desert equipement pink for camouflage.

The latest issue of Small Arms Review has a picture of a pink MAC submachinegun owned by the wife of one of the writers.

The article was about how to get women hooked on MGs :D

You know how people will decorate a room with a particular theme? I know a girl who did her Paratrooper SKS in a Powerpuff Girls theme. She refinished the stock in some obscenely girly colors, stickers of various descriptions, a bright pink sling made from a dog leash... Really frightening.

We went to the range, and it got lots of laughs. The laughter stopped, however, when she nailed the 10-ring with the first 10 rounds at 100 yards. :uhoh: I told her she should enlist - she ran track, and is obviously a freakishly good shot, but she doesn't like the Army's uniforms: no pink.

I should also mention that she was positively furious that she couldn't just walk into the corner gun shop and pick up "that machinegun like the dude had in Blackhawk Down."

Fortunately my wife hasn’t had one refinished in pink. Ralph Lauren Blue, Deep Lavender, Powder Blue, Pale Gray, etc. but no pink, yet :uhoh:
