8 People Robbed In One Area Overnight

Police Look For Three Men
WASHINGTON -- Metropolitan police detectives say a trio of robbers may be responsible for 18 robberies and attempted robberies that took place late Monday and early Tuesday.

Officers said the attacks started around 9:30 p.m. Monday in the 3400 block of Holmead Place in Northwest. The last robbery happened around 5:40 a.m. Tuesday in the 3100 block of Adams Mill Road in Northwest.


All of the attacks happened in Northwest D.C. In one case, a female victim was slightly hurt. In another case, the victim resisted and nothing was taken.

Earlier, investigators had only linked five of the crimes.

Outrageous!!!

I propose a curfew between 9 PM and 6 AM. Nobody "needs" to be out so late. Only criminals would want to be out at such odd hours! This "common sense" legislation will curb crime and render subjects even more helpless, I mean, keep citizens safe.

18 robberies: D.C. police said a pair of robbers might have committed as many as 18 holdups in Northwest Washington during an eight-hour period that began about 9:30 p.m. Monday.


The robberies occurred mainly in the Columbia Heights, Adams Morgan and Mount Pleasant neighborhoods, with some coming only a few minutes and a few blocks apart. Police said that in all the cases, the two suspects were described as being in their late teens or early twenties, wearing dark clothing and carrying dark-colored handguns.


Police said that one witness also saw an accomplice driving a getaway car. The robbers were reported to have used several cars: a Dodge, a Jaguar, a Chevrolet and a Toyota, plus a green Kia stolen during one of the robberies.


There was one injury, to a woman who was hit in the head during a robbery about 11:20 p.m. in the 2200 block of Champlain Street NW. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 202-727-9099.


"The neighborhoods are in an uproar," said D.C. Council member Jim Graham (D-Ward 1). "We're very determined. . . . We're going to get these guys."

How can you take over the lives of innocent people if you give them freedom? You need to instill fear and dependency into the little hearts of these people before they will depend on you 100% for everything from healthcare, to safety, to wiping after they go to the bathroom..
