Hi Alex, and welcome to THR!

(I responded to your other post first, whoops!)

Looks like you're collecting a lot of good info into one place. Help us help you! :)

What are your goals? Are you looking for ways to complete the fact sheets you've started? Is this to be part of the training curriculum you'll be using as you get your business going? Are you trying to flesh out a "basic user's guide" that you will publish somewhere?

It looks like a worthy start!

Getting things going

Again, I'm actually not really even here for my store or stuff like that. I might do that later, but for now I'm tying to get a good discussion going on at least one topic that will help to improve the general safety of owning a firearm. I just figured I'd start right at the "draw" and focus on one of the main hazards. I'll most likely be adding my 2 cents to other topics like bullet choice, ballistic overviews, Rifles, etc... but thought this would be a good place to start.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please allow me to offer my most sincere apologies.

As I stated on the other thread I'm trying to achieve the same goal with me not coming off so pretentious. I thank you for all the support everyone.

Alex, I see no reason to remove these posts. They are very informative, though perhaps not a complete picture. Maybe they could become quite a bit more so with the additions others have shared.

You obviously have good experience and a worthy goal. I think with the right attitude of discerning receptiveness, some participation in forums such as THR could help you just as much (probably more!) as you can be of help to them. THR is a community which includes brand new shooters, long time shooters, hunters, serious students of self-defense principles, gun dealers, gun manufacturers, competitive shooters from the casual to industry sponsored, safety officers, match directors, law enforcement officers, defense contracting types, holster dealers and manufacturers, firearms historians, shooting and self-defense instructors from local types to nationally known, and subject matter experts whose collective understanding far surpasses what any one person could ever know.

As for your businesses, we have no problem with mention of those enterprises, though direct advertising of them will have to be taken up with the site owner. We certainly hope the things that you (and all participating instructors, manufacturers, etc.) learn and share here will make their way into your instruction. We want to see the entire shooting community rise to better practices and better understanding. The information debated and distilled here is free to all and intended for the benefit of all who shoot and who defend the 2nd Amendment.

I do hear through the grapevine that you've had a rougher road on some forums you've jumped into. Rest assured THR's standards of civility and gentlemanly discourse will not allow hazing, heckling, or insults of any kind. (It DOES allow, and encourage, honest and even pointed debate and polite argument.) If you ever feel you are being unfairly persecuted, ask a Moderator to re-establish order. You will be welcomed as a peer and judged entirely by your manners and the quality of your input.

So, again, welcome!

I would just like to say that when I started this topic on different forums, "The High Road" literally took the high road in the concepts. I received some awesome feedback, and "friendly" warnings as I obviously did my initial spot wrong. I'm not going to forget how much more professional this forum seems than all the rest. I'll use a lot of the information that's come from these threads to write a few articles that I hope can have better results on places that are made for articles.

Long story short Thank you to The High Road. I very much look forward to further discussions here. :D
