While in the local GM recently I saw where Gander Mountain does all of the major types of pistol and rifle refinishing, from Nickle plating, to teflon, etc. They even do camo dipping.

Anyone here have experience with them? Are they any good? I gather they send them all to their main store, wherever that is...

Looked like descent prices and sonce you can bring it to the local store, it doesn't cost anything to ship it.

I wouldn't trust the smith at our local Gander to mount a scope on my rifle, let alone finish a gun. He scratched a buddies gun while doing a trigger job, and "touched it up with some spray paint". Wouldn't have been too bad, but the color didn't match in any way shape or form.

That said, I would go in and talk to the guy. This is probably a fluke, and not the norm.
