ok... sniper 2, in the basement of dear departed reststance fighter grandads gun room... dude picks up a "german" sniper rifle, best ever made he says, looks alot like a 91/30 mosin nagant, which is .....russian.
/// In the above quote, The actor is Tom Berringer, A very PRO gun guy, You would think that he would know better.
/// Now on to my personal favorite, If anyone here ever watches "Stargate S.G.1, they may have noticed that when SG1 gets in a massive fire fight with the "replicators" (mechanical space bugs, about the size of a baseball glove) They shoot these things off of computer consoles and walls full of equipment and fixtures, There is NEVER any collatoral damage to said equipment, only the bugs.

As far as I could tell. those P90's aren't ejecting any casings either, but hey, its SG1, who cares?

Claymore, just copy the text you want to quote and put (quote) at the beginning and (/quote) at the end. However, instead of using ( and ), use [ and ]. I just substituted the symbols so it wouldn't create an actual quote.

On my last movie, we had some brief "flashback" scenes where our protagonist was firing two (prop) 1911s into an unseen crowd of people. The "recoil" he gave the props looked like he was firing something substantially larger. After a bit of direction, he shot correctly.

Those first bits were edited out. :D

In the lobby shootout of The Matrix, Neo is firing a submachine gun. They cut to slow-motion shots of brass hitting the ground. The brass is clearly rifle ammo. It's the only time I can remember where the brass coming out of the gun doesn't match the type of weapon.

In Alien v. Predator: Requiem the sheriff gets out of his SUV with his GLOCK. He has his left thumb wrapped over his right thumb. This grip, most commonly known as The Black Mamba Slide Bite, is not recommended.

James Bond - Dr No

Did you know that the beach sequence in Dr No where Dr No’s men spray the island with machine gun fire from a boat had to be re-shot when a detachment form the US Navy who were on leave, entered the bay to find out what all the shooting was about!

In the Bert I Gordon giant bug movie "Beginning of the End", most of the soldiers using Thompson M1928 SMGs were seen clearing jams. Only star Peter Graves had a prop Thompson gun that ran halfway decently on blanks.

Terminator 2: The famous sceen of Linda Hamilton cocking the shotgun by holding the slide and flipping the shotgun up and then sharply down.

I have done that several times with my S&W 916A pump.

I'm just jealous. I have never been able to toss off a shot with my .38, while rolling on the floor after having jumped off a 3 story building, and still hit the bad guy who happens to be 400 yards away and in a dark shadow. I'm just too old apparently. Woe is me........

qajaq59 your problem is a common one, and due to lack of practice. Might I suggest you take your sport more seriously and practice those jumps at least three times a week until you can get it right? Possibly starting at six stories to make the jump from three feel more comfortable.:neener:

Don't forget these

I do these movie guns posts every week. Here are the first two:

http://fateoflegions.blogspot.com/2008/04/movie-guns.html - We Were Sodiers, Blackhawk Down, and Major Payne.

http://fateoflegions.blogspot.com/2008/03/beware-of-new-terror-ammo.html - WAR. This is the movie that inspired the posts. I laughed hysterically at that line: "..titanium shells, depleted uranium bullets; it was his signature..."

When you advance the slides one at a time, you see all of the mistakes. The flinching is just dreadful, and seeing all of the mistakes sometimes gets to the point where it can ruin a movie for you.

Oh well, it's my hobbie!

Son of a gun, I knew I was doing something wrong. Unfortunately we don't have any 6 story buildings here so I'll have to pass. ha ha

I do not know if anyone has mentioned this, but in the Matrix, where Neo is shooting the Minigun, there is a slow motion shot of the brass and it is clearly 7.62 blanks

Here are a couple of other ones.

In any movie, Guns with silencers louder than the other shots being fired.
In Sniper, the equalizer bars in the scope.

In The Bourne Ultimatum EVERY bad cut where he switches his magical glock into a Sig.....

Especially the last scene with the doctor first he threatens the doctor, clearly a glock. - they reveal his past (Glock in that scene) - They flash foward and he holds a SIG w/an external hammer. :neener:

I didn't like any of the Bourne movies, shaky cameras = :barf:

i have always liked the nuclear-tipped M-203 rounds with the propane-tank fireball explosion. even better in End Of Days when they were rockets.
