I've seen a few threads about TX walmarts discontinuing firearm sales. I was just talking to a guy in sporting goods and he just said that someone in Bentonville didn't get the Tx dealers license. He said the FFL is still good and as soon as the dealer license is renewed that they will be back up and running. I don't know if this has been brought to anyones attention, just thought i'd let you guys know just in case......

Saw the same thing. Note on the gun case said they needed to get their license renewed.

Just heard a similar story while passing thru a store in Waxahachie, TX. What kind of idiot forgets to renew the FFL a month and a half before dove season in the second most populated state in the whole country. Gotta wonder if this is just a way to get out of gun sales without causing a stir.

I plan on e-mailing Tractor Supply in the next day or two to request that they start selling ammo (and maybe a few guns!). Think they'd consider it???

They said they were temporarily stopping gun sales here in CA to update their training, that was 3 or 4 years ago, and Walmart still doesn't sell guns at any of the stores near me.

I brought it up a couple of days ago and the thread was immediately locked. Apparently the largest firearms retailer in the country failing to renew their license is off topic.

I talked to the store manager here. This is the entire state of Texas, alll 116 stores that sell firearms. He seemed uncertain if they would resume sales.

Well this guy said that the FFL was still good, it was some TX specific dealer (not firearms specific) license that wasn't renewed.

Walmart threads get locked because they always turn into flame wars.
