Laramie and Cheyenne are both short on "gun shops." Are you looking for a repair shop, a place to purchase a firearm, or an FFL to receive firearm?
In Laramie, there are a couple of Pawn Shops on South Third Street between I-80 and downtown. The are both on the east side of the street and I think on the same block. One of the shops has a great collection of old Winchesters, not for sale. Both shops usually have a selection of new and used firearms. Not sure about repairs.
there is a gun shop/gunsmith on 2nd avenue (old town) in
laramie...CPM/guns and machines. very nice man and quite competene gunsmith...has little patience for ignorance.
the pawn shops are just that...pawn shops
While it is a 45 minute drive, you know that's just a quick trip around here, Guns-n-Gear in Cheyenne is one of the better "Gun Stores" around. I can also recommend Frontier Arms, they have a gunny on site (most of the time). Both stores are on East Lincolnway. Tell em the CCW Instructor guy sent you.
Dieter (spelling?) at CPM guns and machining on 2nd street is going to be your best bet for an in town smith. dudechance is right about his distaste for ignorance.
