I went and picked up my new Ruger with the now new trigger job and there on the wall was a Romanian AK-74. I had thought you couldn't buy ANYTHING that even vaguely resembled an AK in CT. Turns out you can but not in 7.62 If I understood correctly. Price tag $499. When I mentioned it he took it right off the wall, checked for clear and handed it to me. Nice trigger too. It was all I could do do give it back to him but I did. Now I'm thinking about it though...

One of my coworkers (at a non-gun store) used to say that once you have the merchandise in the customer's hands, you're most of the way there. Getting it off the wall and putting it in your hands was a smart move by the gun store salesperson.

I put a NIB (But got it for the price of a used, ong story.) Ruger Stainless Vaquero in 45 Colt on layaway today. Plan on getting a 45 ACP cylinder for it so I can use cheap 45 ACP ammo in it for plinking.
