I went Sunday and there wasn't that many people there. About 10:30 am alot of the dealers started to pack up and leave because of the storm, so you couldn't see all the stuff there. But despite that I did find a gun to buy that I had been looking for. The show was O.K., not as many dealers there as there should have been, but still it's always good to go and look at lots of guns.
Hey Kingson....I was gonna go to that show but I didn't know if it would be worth the 1 1/2 hr drive. We don't many shows in my area and the ones we do have aren't all that great. Was there alot of tables/vendors there? Did they only use just one building for the show? Thanks Tim
They just use one building for the show (the Young building, if you know the Big-E at all), it was about 1/2 full of venders. The better shows are in March and Oct. There are usally more venders at these shows. I try to go to all of the gun shows at the Big-E (I only live about 3 miles form the Big-E). It seem like everything was high priced. I saw some guns that you an get at the local gun stores for $795.00 and at the show they where asking $995.00. It seemed like they where looking for the people with sucker acrossed there forehead. But if you look around hard enough you can find a good deal.
I went to the show on Sat, I thought it was fair. I felt the dealers prices where crazy, way to high in my opinion. I was looking for a S/W 1911, the cheapest price I found was $775. Several dealers where asking close to $900. I ended up going to my local shop and getting the S/W for $679plus tax. Ironically another guy I knew who was at the show ended up at my local dealer and also bought an S/W 1911.I really wanted aColt, but refused to pay 1100-1500 for a Colt. Thats what people are asking for them in Ma
