Gun show this weekend wasn't a bust.

A local gun show this weekend wasn't a lot different than normal, whatever normal was. Turnout was only a little more than usual. Not a lot of black rifles and prices on most all guns were expectantly high, but not to exorbitant. I did manage to acquire a S&W model 10 (No dash) for a reasonably price. Also picked up some normal priced, once fired 44 mag brass and a 50 round box of 38 super for $25.

It was pretty noticeable that there were a lot more people clustered around the tables selling ammo than around those selling guns.

I'm glad you found something that made it worth it for you to go. As much as some people complain, you'd think there wasn't anything worth buying at the gun shows anymore.

A few weeks ago, I picked up an early 60's vintage Ruger Super Single Six with both the 22LR and 22WMR cylinders for a fair price at a gun show. Incidentally, I put a couple hundred 22LR and a hundred or so 22WMR rounds down range through it this afternoon trying to find out if it has a preference for one of the half-dozen varieties of ammo I have on hand at the moment. Now, if I could just find a dusty crate of old Federal Hi-Power 22LR ammo at the next gun show, I'd be all set.

I went to one last weekend. Other than a few ammo-sellers that had likely taken a hit from the old crack pipe before marking their prices, it wasn't outrageous. There was also a Model 10 there I took a serious look at, but passed on. It was gone pretty shortly after that, and likely for a fair price, as it was marked with one when I saw it.

There was one Hi-Point in .45, in box with two mags, marked at $495.

I only bought a cheap AirSoft gun I found that is small enough to use as a trainer for my four-year old daughter.
