So i live in North Idaho and there is gun show coming up in spokane washington. Is it legal for me to buy a gun at said show and bring it back to idaho? Can anyone show me a link to the various gun laws in either state?

Thanks

You cannot legally purchase a handgun out of state and bring it back to your state of origin. You can purchase the firearm but it must be shipped to a FFL dealer in your home state and you must retrieve it at that FFL dealer.

Thanks for the link. So i can go to the Gun Show in washington buy a rifle or a shotgun and bring it back to idaho. Or is "licencee's residence" not considered a gun show?

Generally speaking, if the licensee's business address is in Washington, he can rent a table at a show in Washington and transfer a rifle or shotgun to an Idaho non-licensee. See question F12 in the ATF FAQs.

I guess if the Washington licensee attends a show in Moscow or Lewiston, however, he can do precious little other than display his wares and take orders for future sales/transfers.
