Howdy THR folks!
I happen to be a US Marine serving OCONUS, and I have a gun addiction. There, I said it.
Anyways, being outside the mainland, I reside in a place without FFL's, along with strict gun laws. Though I can't walk into a fun store and purchase what I want, I still have access to Gunbroker and have located a few deals I'd really like to capitalize on. My home of record and driver's license all originate in Ohio, and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of an FFL who offers storage, and wouldn't mind accepting and holding a few guns I bought on Gunbroker until 2016 when I get back. I'm sitting on some pretty good bargains, and don't have much time to move on them before they expire.
Though there may be a few other methods, I prefer an FFL to minimize the hassle with the transferring and legal responsibility. My idea would be to purchase the firearms, have them transferred to the FFL who would sit on them and properly store them until 2016, come home and fill out the Form 4473, and take ownership. For their troubles, I'd of course be willing to pay for storage, shipping/transfers. I'm still a DoD employee, so it couldn't be TOO much, but I'd entertain any offers!
Thanks again THR,
