This article really IS NEWS to a lot of people in our country.
I think many here forget that most people who go to gun forums such as THR are on the FAR Pro side of the gun issue spectrum.
As spectrums go most people fall in the middle some where. i.e. they are not really against people owning guns BUT they may not be totally comfortable with it also.
Any article that shows gun ownership in a light other than the "guns kill people" perspective, (Whether that be in a SD context or criminal) is worth ten times its weight in gold in the good PR it creates.
This was a great article for good gun PR. It showed guns in our country are used for enjoyable recreation by all walks of life AND people actually are responsible in gun ownership and aren’t out there getting into shootouts with each other simply because they have a gun.
The part about the women’s shooting group that ranged from age 16 to 89 is the kind of positive feel good information that will bring other Americans into recreational shooting and gun ownership.
