I like looking at pictures of firearms or "gun porn". I suppose that could be considered a vice...
Wilton as good as it gets.......Be good and take care......Panavises have their merits but I have found that a very high quality vise such as this one has much higher utility value.
I even use it for cleaning guns.

You make us all proud........good job restoring that vise .....Ohio to boot .....Trump and Ohio made us proud too.........Good Fortune, my friend ...Did you make those vise pads or buy them somewhere?
2 weeks ago I was given an older US made 3.5" vise. I already have an 8" Wilton in my shop so I decided to mount this one my "gun cleaning/gun smithing/reloading" bench after I stripped off the old paint and rust and refinished it. I've been looking for some way to attach soft jaws, I've been considering just gluing some leather or cork to the jaw faces buy I REALLY like what you got there!

I made one out of scrap wood. It's good for cleaning and minor tinkering and adjustments. It has a box under it for storage. ...Scrap wood ? ...just a little curious what the good wood looks like ,,that's a nice job my friend.....
Sovblocgunfan, After seeing what you can do for a gun cleaning cradle, have you ever thought of building a reloading station in a box that could be used at the range? Really nice work sir!Beach Bum, it is just poplar that I had from an abandoned project some time before. Wasn't working from plans. I didn't have a stand of any sort, and wanted to see what I could do. Just sorta happened, really.
