Gunbroker new format

What irritates me even more than stuff coming up that has absolutely NOTHING to do with what I have typed in to the "Advanced" Search function, is they now list the "Opening" Bid as the "current" bid...even when no one has bid on it. If your Opening bid is $625, but no one has bid on it...the Current bid is, by default...$00.00; it is NOT your opening bid, which throws me off from looking closer at something.

So, I am getting used to the new GunBroker format. I don't care for it, but I understand that it makes things easier for people using smartphones to look at GB, which is important now.

What I cannot get used to are the changes in the search engine. For example, I used to search for Smith & Wesson Perfected Model top-break revolvers. All I had to do was type in the word Perfected, and I got all of them and very little else (provided the seller knew the correct term was Perfected, and spelled it right, etc. OTOH, it did not make any difference if they spelled S&W wrong, or did not know the caliber, or that it was a revolver, etc.)

Now I get over 10,000 results, because the search engine has decided I want to see everything with the word Perfect in it, and every variation thereof. I have not been able to find any way to avoid this, such as the use of quotation marks or Advanced Search. Several other searches I used to use are ruined by this "improvement" as well. If it is possible to search for a specific phrase, it ought to be able to search for a specific WORD as well, but I cannot figure out how.

I think GunBroker will go on "improving" things until their site is impossible to use. Then they will go out of business, blaming the "gun grabbers" as they go.

We used to have the choice of searching titles only, or searching the entire description. As far as I can tell, we no longer have the option of searching titles only - all searches are set to scan the entire descriptions.
Gunbroker made a big step backwards.
