We have probably all had this scenario happen. Cruising through stuff looking for something and stumble across something that is so strange that it catches your attention. Usually a bubba job, and you’re left with all kinds of questions as to why and how this poor unassuming firearm became the monstrosity that it is. Some are well done, some are just awful. Let’s post some… kinda like the “people of Walmart”.

Here’s an example of one where the work looks pretty good, I just don’t understand why the gun got built like this. I get a long barrel, but a ppc snubby makes no sense. Nice sight rail, nice barrel, nice host gun, but snubby???

Great find. It is obviously so your CCW is also competitive in PPC games from 1982.

Snub nose bowling pin matches? Quick draw slow fire?

Maybe he just did it to prove it could be done. We can’t all climb Mount Everest you know.:D

At the time there was a PPC match with 2.5" barrel limit but few other restrictions.
If you want to win...
Thats the downside to "the games", and then that bleeds over into the commercial markets as "necessary" if you want to be able to shoot. Just look at most of the 1911's these days.

At one time there were PPC "back-up gun" matches, in which you shot with a "back-up" gun.

Reminds me of what they did to that did to that Vette in the movie "Corvette Summer"... o_O

We would be able to see the cylinder catch, in the photo above. Mark Hamill’s ride was right hand drive ;).

They both need to be looked at with the eyes of a mother, to love…
