Gunnery Qual Today!

Well last week and up until yesterday was practice tables of Bradley Gunnery, and at first we weren't doing so hot but now I think we got it. We have good crew cordnation and work good together. The only thing I am worried about is that darn HE, it's trajectory sucks! This is my first gunnery as a bradley gunner, and I can't wait for it to be over! I will let you guys know how it goes.

I can shoot everything under the sun pretty good but this s a whole other ball game!

Which tables are you shooting? My only advice, and this comes from one qualified in an M1, is breath, don't rush the shot, and if your bushmaster uses a targeting computer, trust it.

BTW, are you slated for joint gunnery any time soon? Table 11 and 12 IIRC. Our Bradley guys used to gripe about how loud the M1s were when they were trying to shoot.

We used to sit out behind the BOQ's in Baumholder and watch them shoot Table VIII on Range 32. Cool fire works. Almost as cool as looking up and watching the sky to see if you could spot 155 rounds heading toward the impact area from the off post firing areas. (Yes, they shot over post. ) I've got some really cool poster sized pictures of 2/68 ARM during a night shoot at Graf. Wwwwwwaaaaaaayyyyyyy ttttttttoooooooooo

We shot table 7 yesterday and were supposed to shot 8 today but they rescheduled for tommorow they wanted to do a table 7 modified for the ones that didn't do so hot!

We are supposed to do table 12 sometime in the near future, it is a lot of fun, the last time i was at table 12 i was a dismount and didn't get to have the fun like the gunners, but i am pretty hyped about the next table 12!

My favorite things to shoot are the troop targets, 400meters is to easy, the 800meter troops are a blast. Just hold down the trigger, and sweep the target area and I normally achieve 75 to 100% kill on the troops.

i wish we had those but we get the worst equipment in every aspect from small arms to m242 chain guns, and vehicles!
