I have a Mak thats been at the gunsmith's since 5/22/10.

Makarovs are very easy to work on, and I know where to source the parts. What's the problem that you need a gunsmith? I'd recommend you go and get it back then fix it yourself. I'll provide any pointers where I can.

My AR-15 is very plain.

I have that same problem with a Ruger 10/22.
Also, I have a JC Higgins 31 with a semi-broken firing pin. Last time I tried to put it back in the bolt I didn't hold it in all of the way and chipped off part of the retaining slot. Just need to order a new one online (already did that once.)

I have a fairly bad one. Baby Eagle in hard chrome, with a broken off safety lever and a chunk above it cracked right out of the slide. I bought the gun used a few years ago, though it appeared to have never even been fired at the time. I'm almost certain I put less than 100 rounds down it before the safety went flying off and I saw the crack.

The problem is Magnum Research won't fix it as they say it's past warranty, and they want almost the cost of a brand new gun to replace the slide. I don't have the money to throw around lightly, so I don't see it getting fixed anytime soon .. if ever.

As far as I can tell the trigger bar broke. But I'm not 100% sure.

I can build an entire house faster than they can fix that pistol, I'll be calling them next week again for sure.

Pretty much telling me I'm filler work wait until they feel like fixing it is not acceptable. I'm a paying customer just like anyone else. I think coming up on 2 months is a VERY reasonable time frame. Today was the first time I have called them since I dropped it off, I feel I have been very patient. Now I'm getting a bit annoyed, I want my gun back.

I've got a vest-pocket 25 that needs a new firing pin fitted. It will sort of shoot as is but I need to finish it.

Also a Turk Mauser that I was going to sporterize and sort of lost interest after taking it apart.
And a Mossberg 500 that is literally in a bucket. Need to sort out which parts are there and which are duplicates and get it working.

I have a Llama 9mm, 1911 pattern that is one of the most accurate single shot 9mm pistols I've ever seen. I got it cheap and only because at one time I had a Llama .22 autopistol that was super reliable and accurate (fluke? I don't know)

I've replaced the extractor twice, thinking I did something wrong the first time but still no go. Mayby did the same thing wrong again. It will shoot but it leaves the fired case in the chamber and slams the next one into it. When I first got it and after extractor #2 it would fire two or three rounds before it would revert to single shot again.

I stashed it in my workshop desk drawer and will use it as a boring, rainey day project again sometime but need to get some fresh ideas on how to fit that extractor so it will work. (Cycle it slowly by hand and it pulls the case out about half way and then drops it, leaving half of it still in the chamber to be pushed the rest of the way in by cartridge #2) During live fire it dosen't seem to pull the case out much at all if any. Sometimes it will jam with the case fully in the chamber, other times it will be tangled up with carridge #2.

Suggestions welcome, boat anchor has been considered and is on the list of options.

Hello friends and neighbors // I often buy two firearms at a time from the pawn shops.

One nice-excellent and one old and needing some TLC. I feel this betters my price for both. My feeling like I got the best deal I can is what counts in the end to me.

I am proud to say I am down to a:

1) Forearm for an H&R Model 1900 12ga.
2) (correct) Trigger assembly screws for a Marlin Model 60 .22lr
3) An improved choke tube for a 870
4) A rear ramp for an 87T .22lr
5) Original wooden plug for a Remington Model 31 12ga.

If anyone has these items to share, please send me a PM. I'd rather keep the money in the family so to speak.

My model 70 25-06 has been waiting on an aftermarket trigger for over a year.

And my circa-2006 model 70 270win has been sitting in the gun safe unfired waiting on a Leupold scope and a trigger job.

Maybe someday.

I have a model 700 that needs the stock cut down and a new scope. I still shoot it, but not as well as I could if it fit me better.
