I'm somewhat gun rich and pretty much money poor. I find myself with a lot of projects on my plate, but have blown all of my birthday money (the only income I have that my wife can't tell me what to do with it) on my new CETME.
Now I can skim a little money here and there to put into my gun fund without the wife knowing about it, but I need some direction regarding how to prioritize my projects. I'll post a pic of each gun to help you decide.
They include:
1. A 102 year old first Generation Colt SAA with a broken cylinder lock. Additionally, I need to decide whether to order a new one from Brownells or try to find an original. I'm leaning towards a new one because I'm not going to sell it or anything, so it doesn't really matter if it's all "original" or not. Either way, a new one runs about fifty bucks and it'll need to be custum fitted, so it's going to be a little pricy to fix.

2. A 51 year old second Generation Colt SAA with a stuck cylinder rod...at least I guess that's what you call it. The pistol is fully functional, but I can't remove the rod that holds the cylinder into the frame. It's well and truely stuck.

3. My old sporterized Krag needs the crown re-lapped. I know this is an inexpensive procedure, but money is tight so I'm including it.

4. 1967 Winchester 1894 Cannadian Centennial. This is a beautiful and extremely sweet shooting gun, but the rear bull horn site is freaking impossible to adjust. It's got a screw on the left and the right that loosens the site...two screws...so when you get one side situated you still have to work on the other side...and that messes up the first screw adjustment. I want to replace it with like a ghost ring or something that is conducive to adjustment. Problem is it's not angle eject, so I'm having a hard time finding something.

5. The affore mentioned CETME. When I first got it, it had two problems. First, it shot minute of trashcan lid...second, it shot way right. I gave it to the gunsmith and he said the bore looked okay and the sights don't look canted, replaced the MB with a FH and lapped the crown. So now I'm getting six inch groups at 50 yards and it still shoots to the right.
Reliability is perfect though.
The only next step I can think of is replacing the barrel. I figure this would fix what ever problem I'm having accuracy wise (assuming it isn't the shooter) and re-set the headspace (which is currently .006 inches...a little close for comfort) in one fell swoop. But frankly, I'm getting tired of spending money on this gun right now.
