I mean the ones that put a big smile on your face every time you shoot them and why. For me right now, I have got to say that I am having a ball witha a 9mm Hi-point carbine. It is just plain fun to shoot. There is virtually no kick so follow up shots and transitioning from one target to the next is fast and easy. I like to set up 3 targets at different distances and double tap them 1-2-3-2-1. It is so much fun that I am picking up another in 40S&W today. What is your fun to shoot rifle.:D

This is a pair I enjoy each time I take them out.

The rifle is a combination of the 1866 Springfield Single Shot barreled action and an Italian replica of the 1841 Mississippi rifle lock, stock and small parts. The barreled action is stamped with the year the barrel was converted to cartridge and lined to 50 caliber, 1866. The revolver is an Italian replica of the Richards conversion of the Colt's 1860 revolver.

This pair also promises to be a hoot to shoot!

A Fifth Model Burnside carbine and a replica Colt's 1860 revolver. I used the Burnside as a teenager with round ball and black powder. I am getting conicals so as to more closely approximate the original loading. The 1860 needs little explation, round ball and black powder works fine!

Before I even read the first post, on seeing the thread title, I thought of the Hi-Point 995. Then the 1894C Marlin in .357. And the 10/22. These are the "fun" guns. But I "like" to shoot just about everything I own. I definitely like shooting my Mosin M44 -- for a few rounds anyway -- and might even consider it a "fun" gun to shoot.

You know, shooting just about any gun is fun. The harder question would be to name a gun I own that is not "fun" to shoot. But my Taurus 605, a 2" barreled .357, might well qualify. And generally, I find shooting handguns less "fun" than shooting rifles.

22lr AR upper is a blast. Just as many rounds as an extended mag 10/22. Of course the 10/22 is a blast just as well.

But one of my personal favorites is a Fortner bolt biathlon rifle. Look at this look on the face of this shooter when I let her take some rounds with it:

my pops sks. since I scoped it for him, he's been happily defending the world from zombie paper plates and the evils of dirty birdy's. It's accurate enough he can sit back at the 50 yd range and slow fire till his hearts content. He picks up whatever garbage ammo he can find buys em 20 and 40 at a time till he's got enough to make an afternoon of it.

Light, easy to shoot well, low recoil, accurate. Everybody smiles after shooting them, especially the newbies.

I've got two that really put a smile on my face.

My CZ 452 Ultra Lux is a joy to shoot on a silhouette range with open sights. Puts a smile on my face every time.

Second is one of my Mosins, for very different reasons. The recoil and big boom coupled with the low cost to shoot and they are just a lot of fun.

Are there any that DON'T? :) I still have a huge dopey grin on my face while shooting EVERY ONE. From Kalashnikovs at a class to the .22s with the kids or the xDM or 1911 in a match or shotguns at the Clays course... I love them and shooting them all is just pure joy.

Im with Sam. If it has a trigger, I'll have a good time shooting it.

Pretty much true.

There was that Russian SXS 12 ga that tears my knuckles up every shot. But I sold that one! Then the S&W Bodyguard .380ACP that self destructed every shot. Got my money back on that one.

I enjoy shooting all my guns but for some reason the Marlin Model 56 lever action and the Marlin 60 make me giggle like a child when shooting them.

My Winchester M94 is my fun gun. Nothing like a lever-action, especially when I have a whole bucket full of reduced-load rounds for all-day plinking fun.

And when I get the opportunity, my dad's Garand.

M 44 with the blast on the muzzle end. When standing in line with other shooters with high end ARs and the latest tacticool guns, the M 44 with its bayonet extended and fireball just lets them know you have a cool gun to boot.

"Guns that are just plain fun to shoot"

I glad you put that 'S' on the end of 'gun'.

Many classes of 'fun to shoot'.

Good memories - my dad's SMLE that he pulled out of the bay in Japan, Aug of 45. He put two shots in the same hole on a running deer, rapid bolt action work :) I seldom fire it but cherish it.

Best at home feel - my old Ruger Standard Automatic that I bough used in 1968 or 69. Had little cash but bought a brick of 22s every payday, once a month. Good times in central Montana.

Now a days - the big grin I got shooting that 300 Blackout that I put together. Shouldn't have let it go :(

So many good memories and enjoyment shooting.

It seems like hitting small target with iron sights makes me smile most. Usually with my Marlin Model 39.

i too enjoy anything with a trigger, however my Hi Point 995 is probably the most fun, followed closely by my 10/22

Well, all of 'em.

I probably get the most enjoyment from my Garand, AR and single action revolvers.

Haven't shot the cap n' ball revolver yet, but I suspect it will be a hoot.

Edited to add: Oh yeah, anything I'm using to blow up tannerite. Especially when it's inside a pumpkin.
