I went to the gunshow today in Mesquite Tx. I don't want an AR myself but did look at several. There were lots of ARs to choose from. The prices seemed to have been running from $1100 to $1500 average price.
The S&W ARs were around $1200. My buddy that was with me said he bought the same rifle as I was looking at a year ago for $850. There were a lot of rifles available. Not a lot of ammo though. Also there didn't seem to be many people buying. I only saw one person doing the paperwork on a gun. I have no idea what they bought. I didn't see any private sells either.
I'm not bashing the dealers or the high prices. I had a good time just getting out of the house. I broke my little toe two weeks ago and haven't been doing much lately. Just thought I would let you guys that are looking for AR rifles know that there are quite a few out there to be had.
Maybe its come to a point where people that wanted an EBR have got one. Hopefully the prices have peaked and the demand is down. Now if the prices will fall like they did for gas when everyone stopped driving so much. Maybe we have seen what the market will bear.
