Whatever you decide to buy, stay away from Harbor Freight for punches. They will spaghetti the first time they are used. Way too soft.

Most often we all sometimes learn the hard way. I now buy good tooling like drills, taps and endmills only. I don't know where they get their crappy tooling at Harbor Freight, but I have tried some of their stuff and cutting angles and clearance, sure suck! They have a store here in Rice Lake, WI, and after my experience with a set of TiN coated chamfer cutting tools, I couldn't get those dang things to cut steel. No more tooling from those folks. The only items I now buy there are nitrile gloves.
