I went to the local gun show today here in Michigan and there was a guy selling a gun cleaner called Gunzilla.I have never heard of this brand.Has anyone ever used it?Thanks for any info.:)

I think somebody gave me a sample bottle of it once. Big deal.

Just make up a gallon of Ed's Red and forget all the patent gun cleaners.

I rather like Gunzilla. I seems to clear up gunk rather well, and it works great on copper fouling. It doesn't smell too bad, and a little goes quite a long way. I don't know how it compares to Hoppes #9, as I've never used it, but Gunzilla is used on all of my guns for cleaning and lubrication with no ill effects to speak of. I can't claim to be an expert on cleaners and solvents, but it's a pretty good step up from the two dollar special three-in-one I was using.

I'm a fan. I met one of their reps last summer at Camp Perry during the national matches. I bought a bottle and took it home to give it the Pepsi challenge. I now use it on all my guns. It's non-cancer causing, as stated above works quite well on copper fouling, has an organic smell to it, keeps barrels cooler during rapid firing. My single favorite advantage is that it's non-static. What this means in practice is that it doesn't attract dust and dirt like most petro products. One cautionary note from the vendor was not to leave it on plastic parts for an extended period. I've been using it on Sigs, ARs, and HKs with plastic grips with no deleterious effects as long as I wipe it off per the instructions. Also, each bottle is marked with a stamp to point out to the TSA guys so they don't hassle you at the airport checkpoints - the stuff isn't caustic or flammable, and is allowed in checked luggage with just the cap on it.

I used to use their stuff till my gunstore stopped carrying it. very good! cut through carbon, cleaned stuff up VERY well, non-toxic, etc. I used it to clean up after corrosive ammo in my Mosin Nagant. never had a problem with it. I started using the cheaper stuff when I lost my job :(

it is plant based & non toxic. it actually works quite well & you won't offend the bride with the smell in the house.
