Check the gun shows. They usually have some old Umarex mags from the last iteration of the gun a few years ago. I am wanting an A2 style stock for mine.

My LGS had one a few weeks ago for that price. I would like one but I think I'd get bored with it pretty quickly. I like 10/22's but a M&P15 .22lr and the MP5 .22lr have tempted me before, I just don't need yet another gun I don't ever shoot or pull out on the rare occasion a friend's kid wants to shoot, etc....

No gunshows around me, and not likely for the foreseeable future. But I have hope to get a few more magazines in the future.

Maybe CDNN will have them again.

Technically neither. They are made by Umarex.

Walther bought GSG, and Umarex bought Walther.
Umarex has licenses to label all sorts of things.

GSG is a separate company and unlike Umarex their MP5 clones were not licensed by HK and were sued over it.

While the Umarex gun is made for and sold by HK the majority of the rabid HK Fan base does not really accept the .22 as a "real HK".

I wanted a 22lr rifle to go with my 2 22lr pistols. So I got the HK Mp5 22lr Pistol. Ya I got the pistol and added a brace along with a red dot.


Its a shooter with just a few minor hiccups (couple a stove pipes). Reilly like it!

The fake suppressor covering the 16 inch barrel kinda turns me off. The pistol version with a brace installed looks much better. But if the ATF regulations prohibiting braces is finalized I would not want the pistol version. Tough decision.

Right you are. I have a SP5 too and I will probably put a lot more rounds thru the 22 over the coming years.
