I recall H&K announcements from the recent SHOT show that the P2000sk would be available in mid-June. It is almost July, and none available yet.

I tried calling H&K three times last week, and nobody had an answer. A man named John Kieffer "was out." Other staff in their law enforcement phone directory never picked up their phones.

Cals Sporting Armory states they will be available in late 2004 or early 2005.

I THOUGHT GERMANS WERE MORE PUNCTUAL THAN THIS!!!!!!!!!!

I need a companion for my USP .45f for off-duty carry. I hate Glocks, so a g26 is out of the question. The SW99 subcompact looks OK, but I want something with the same manual arms as my USP .45f. I would really like the P2000sk in 9mm soon.

I had heard that it's an ATF thing about the short barrel (??).

Hmmm, HK says a gun should be available mid-June and two weeks later you're calling to complain? I'm not entirely certain they are in control of 90% of the factors that allow them to get their guns to market. Are you a Law Enforcement Dealer? An HK Authorized Dealer?

They can make all they want but still have to be sure all the federal importation steps are met and appovals granted.

Exactly! Geez, you're never late for anything?
I'd also guess that upon the inital batch, they'll be allocated to thier larger stocking dealers/distributors whcih will keep their prices high until supply steadies.

Ahhh and lest we not forget our bretheren in the confines of that wonderful republik that the rest of us are just waiting to see fall into the pacific. Such a wonderful and favorable place in which to reside. Just think of all the money one saves living there by NOT being able to purchase the wonderful and enjoyable items that those of us in the free staes can indulge in. :neener::p :neener::p Hmmm..wonder who will bring thier full-autos to the range this weekend...:neener:

Sorry to rub it in Skunk...couldn't resist. :D

not the two weeks, the several months

I'm not griping about the two weeks, just the idea that Cal's Sporting Armory was stating late 2004, early 2005. Yes, I am anxious and a total HK nut.

It would be nice if HK would post a message on their web page as to the actual release date.

On Monday, I was off and went to Gary's Guns in Sioux Falls South Dakota (just over an hour to our north) and was able to put in some indoor range time at their very nice facility. My USP .45f with Meprolight tru-dots made for a great time with the lights off in the range. I was able to practice some low-light techniques with my Surefire combat light. Picture a bright strobing flash from the Surefire and then a big fireball from 230 grain hardball .45 ACP. FUN!!!!!!!
