I have an H&R top break revolver I would like help identifying.

Description: Nickel plated, 3" barrel, double action, 5 shot cylinder, blued trigger, trigger housing, hammer, barrel release latch and pin. Half round blade front sight. Tiny blued rear sight is part of barrel release latch. Man made black grips with target logo at top of grip. No model number or identifying markings found except the following on the barrel rib:

Harrington & Richardson Arms Company,
Worcester,Mass.U.S.A.Pat.Oct.4,'87,Apr.2,96.Apr.7,96.

and:

023248 stamped under top break frame above cylinder.

Any help in identifying the model number, date of manufacturer, approximate value and source of additional info will be appreciated.

Well, the Auto Ejector model comes to mind. Available in .22LR, .32S&W, and .38S&W calibers, they were produced from the very late 1800's through 1940. Barrel lengths varied from 2" to 6", but the most popular lengths were 3 and 4". Either blued or nickel plated, typically found with a round butt grip configuration. I have no idea about its current value, though if I had to venture a guess, and assuming it was in excellent condition, I would probably say in the $100 to $150 range.
