H stamping on civil war revolvers

    Can someone tell what or who the H stands for on lots of civil war revolvers?thanks

    The letters, from what I can gather, are military inspector's markings. Here's a list of the inspectors and what they inspected. I have a Whitney with B, F, I, W that I'm trying to figure out who they belong to.
