Hakan Pek, made me a set of Flame Birch grips for my Star BM. I have had them for a while due to fiting problems; I didn't want to screw them up as I have two right thumbs. The grips went with me to Marianne Carniak's Accurizer Gunshop in troy, MI. and the rest is history. To say Marianne was impressed with Hakan's product is an understatement. Enjoy! Regards, Richard :D

I wish I had a BM that nice.

Nice gun Richard,I'm on the search for a nice Star BM for a decent price-then Hakan will make me grips,I hope.

Hakan makes good stuff!!

I think this is his first or nearly his first set...
He sent these to me several years ago. He's made lots
of refinements (and lots of grips) since this set was produced.

These are lightly finished Norwegian birch on my CZ-75B SA.

I'm proud to have this set.

VonFatman, it didn't take Hakan and I to realize there are slight differences between a CZ75 and CZ75B grip. My first set ended up on my CZ75B, which is okay with me. Regards, Richard :D

PS I love to tell about Hakan's mailing address in Norway. It looked strange to me and I wasn't sure he would get my money. Hakan E-mailed me that he lives in a small village in Norway and there aren't many Turks in his village :D

ROFLMAO............:D Ill second everything here....
Hakan Pek is a gentleman of the highest caliber. And he makes the best grips Ive found.......anywhere.

His address looks like its gonna end up in a snowbank behind a post office in Norway somewhere...but it gets there. I was shocked the first time I got word he ACTUALLY recv'd my letter............:what:

Shoot well........

Richard,

Remember the CZ-50 you sold me. How do you think it will look with these on it.

Thank you all !

Hey ! Thanks everyone for the great comments...they're greatly appreciated :)

Nice lookin' pistol there Richard.Glad to hear grips fit...let me know what you had to do so I make the next set better ;)

VF.. that IS the first ones I ever made.Infact, I made them for myself and you took'em off a my hands :) I'm glad you did man. :)

grey9551,

Looking forward to see them on your gun..send pics if it is possible huh..

Yeah! It is a small place I live in...I think everyone knows who I am(it shouldn't be that difficult ):)...A few years ago I moved in the town and the next day my mails came to my new place...I hadn't tell anyone about it though.Dunno if this is good or bad.. :scrutiny:

Thanks again folks :)

Regards,

Hakan.

Someone needs to send that man a checkering tool! :D

I mean, propane torches and stippling punches are all well and good, but he obviously has the talent to turn out some really nice checkered wood grips... and they just look so much more elegant to me! :p

Propane torches??

Thanks for the tip 9x19... :) I do have a checkering set, just need the time to practice it :)

I don't use any propane torches though..if you were referring to the stripes on the Birchwood grips, that's the wood's natural 3D grain..my english isn't enough to explain it but, I'm sure someone who has a set can do it for us.. :)

Thanks for your encouraging words.

Regards,

Hakan.

Hakan,

I wasn't referring to the Master's grips, but rather some of your half stippled (divided on an angle), light/dark, grips that seem to have been "torched" to achieve the dark side.

So... when will the checkered grips be available? :p

Sorry..

...my misunderstanding 9x19 :) The dark part on the "Half&Half" grips are done by black stain only on the stippled area.

I did purchase a Dem-Bart checkering set sometime last year but didn't have much time to practice it yet---it ain't easy man :( I'd recommend Mr. Scott Sensing for checkering of my smooth grips...he's checkering few sets of mine now and he does a great job.

Regards,

Hakan.

Great looking pistol. Great looking grips. I gotta get a set of Hakans for my Hard Chromed CZ 75A.

What work did you have Marianne do on that Star? I've heard good things about her work but haven't had her do anything for me yet. Maybe my Hi Power, if she works on those.
