I sent Hakan some Koa wood and this is what is coming back.

Hakan is the ULTIMATE in Professionalism and Craftsmanship!!! (Now if I can just convince the mrs. in letting me get that CZ75B in .40 .)

Koa wood is a member of the legume family, like mesquite and locust. It's easy to see why it's a prized wood for fine furniture.

Here's a set I have on the way (mailed Monday) from Hakan as well. They are made from beautiful "flame amboina" wood (whatever that is) and will be going on my Dan Wesson Patriot. As usual, Hakan's workmanship is superb!
