I discovered this company offers a 348 bullet.

I'm going to try some for deer season. They are lighter for caliber than I would prefer but this is the nature of the monolithic bullets. At 162gr the length, from what I know so far, and shape is ideal without taking up case capacity. So you end up with a bullet that is roughly the "same" physical size as the standard-for-caliber jacketed bullet would be.
I won't get into load details because it's too easy to confuse my words to someone else. Hopefully the above makes sense to the reader.
They sure are perty.
I'm expecting 2600-2700fps from my carbine. The way I look at it as light for caliber......348win and 30-06 have very similar case capacity. Inside 200yds is like I'm shooting a 160gr 30-06 with a bigger hole.....I'm OK with that!!!!
