i am not a big fan of striker fired gun because i dont like that to have one in the tube i have to have a striker locked under tension (unless i want to buy a walther P99) any bodyu know of a good small hammer fired CC gun? thanks.

i forgot to mention that i would prefer it to be DA/SA an external safty would be nice but isnt totally needed.

i forgot about the p2000 i stumbled upon the cz p06 whilst looking at the cz75 compact. i like that its in .40 and has a decocker.

I recently bought a bersa thunder9 uc pro. It has a great da/sa trigger with external hammer. Its an awesome gun for a good price.

You're describing a S&W 3rd gen so far. The Alloy-frame 3913, 4013, 908, 5904 are my personal favorite CC autos.

Thats easy!

FN FNP-9M compact. Better than any HK I've shot that a few people have suggested and its also half the price. FN make very good firearms. Underrated in my opinion.

Walther PP, PPK, PPK/S. The Kel-Tec P3AT and its Ruger LCP counterpart have concealed hammers, not strikers, too, but are DA only.
When I'm not carrying the Kel-Tec, I often carry the Walther PPK; it's heavier, since it's all stainless steel, but it handles well, is DA/SA, has a fixed barrel for accuracy, an external hammer and loaded chamber indicator, and an external safety with decocker. The only reason I carry the Kel-Tec more is that it's so light in a pocket holster.

You might also check out the EAA Witness Compact P or the Armscor MAPP1 MS. There are also several Taurus with hammer fire such as the PT911 and others based on the Beretta 92. I have both striker fire DA/SA and hammer fire DA/SA all with external safeties and really don't find much different in how they shoot.

was just looking at the p2000sk damn thats an expensive pistol. im thinking im going to go check out the CZ. its way more in my price range.

I'm pretty sure the P290 has an external hammer. Or you could go with the original Sig "compact" carry gun...

:)

Sig is the brand you probably want to look at, specifically the:
P232: .380acp; 7+1
P239: 9mm, .357sig, .40S&W; 8+1, 7+1
P225: 9mm; 8+1
P224: 9mm, .357sig, .40S&W; 11+1, 10+1
All are small enough to carry, all excellent shooters, and all have a proven track record with military, police and CCW citizens.

S&W

If you want double stack mag, i'd say 6904 or 6906.
personally, I prefer a slimmer single stack mag so my hammer fired CC of choice is a S&W Chiefs Special CS9. Smooooth trigger, alloy frame, DA/SA, hammer fired, with safety/decocker on left side, Novak sights. Very nice gun.

The Rorhbaugh R9 is hammer fired. It's DOA and there is no safety on it.

For me, slide mounted safeties that flip up are worse than no safety at all, because I have trouble operating them.
