If I am criticized for saying this , so be it ...

Post #25 of this thread (above) is an ugly waste of forum space.

Last big cookout/range day we had I forgot my 45acp practice ammo instead I brought 40s&w but no 40s&w pistol :(, my SIL forgot his 308 ammo and brought 3 308 guns. I consider it brain farts.

At age 76 the tremor is always there, some days worse than others. But Demi-human is wise.

Having a few years on you I can assure that they only get worse. If you haven't already done so see a doctor, preferably a neurologist. A very cheap and safe medication does wonders for me.

For all the forgetful old farts like me, I never leave for a range trip without multiple guns. That way I usually have one or two that I am able to shoot. It's not foolproof though. A few weeks ago I took all 22 rimfires and forgot the ammo bag. :cuss:I also keep earplugs stashed in both of my vehicles just in case I forget my electronic hearing protection.

Always seems like the days when it's beautiful weather and I can't wait to get shooting are when I do the worst. Maybe too excited? OTOH, if it's cold, rainy, scorching hot or otherwise miserable and I just wanna test something or check some loads and leave, I end up having my better days. Mosquitos, ants, hover flies, sweat bees? Yes
Hamsters, no.

even with a poor day I still shot a 7/8 group with my 6.5 grendel at 100 yards I was hopeing for a 3 shot under a dime oh well maybe next time. thanks for all you support

My hunting buddy always asked me why I bring an extra rifle when we go hunting. 2 years ago we got into hunting camp, about 3 hrs from home. He opened his gun case, only to find he forgot to put his hunting rifle in it. Lucky for him I brought the ectra rifle, or he would have had a long boring hunt.

What caliber is an "ectra" rifle? Is it bolt, or semi auto?:neener: I know, I'm an evil person. I mess up words --- and don't even get me started on what spellcheck has inflicted on me.

This is why I use the commonest ammo for hunting. I make sure the ammo I take on a hunting trip can (probably) be purchased at the nearest hardware store. I was in Elk camp at 8000 ft and one guy found out he forgot to pack his ammo. One of the guys in camp had his caliber and he was able to sight in his rifle and save a $5000.00 hunt. That caliber was 30-06.

Yup been there.
I usually just start talking to people at the range if I get frustrated. Or ill call it a day early and head home and have a drink and read for a while.

Yes. Too much coffee or too low of blood sugar are often the cause.
You raise a good point and that is exactly why I always brought a dozen donuts to ever early morning Bullseye match. It helped level the playing field.

Just feeling like there's a hamster in your shorts isn't a bad day.

Going prone on an unseen fire ant mound is a bad day. :(
