"(to Sammael) Listen, Sammy, I’m not a very good shot, but the Samaritan here uses really big bullets. So what do you say we work this out in a nice,
peaceful…? (Sammael runs off) Oh, crap.”

I think it started as a thread about Han Solo's blaster and morphed into a Sci-fi gun thing.

Whatcha got? Ripley would like to know, Burke!

That's a Speed Graphic. I had to use one in 1962 when covering sports for my high school newspaper. That's what the school publications department had in inventory. At least it had a strobe (with a heavy separate battery pack). But it used cut film sheets.

Bladerunner is on another level than Star Wars.
Agreed. Bladerunner is an amazing film. Star Wars... isn't. However, the level of international obsession, fandom, and geekiness surrounding the Star Wars franchise cannot be overstated. There's no way the gun from Bladerunner would sell for anywhere near what Han Solo's blaster did, IMO.

Aliens is the single best piece of Sci-Fi to grace the silver screen. Love that movie.

The m41A pulse rifle was a prop gun built on two real world guns, the Thompson sub machined gun and Remington 870 shotgun. The funny part is the M41A pulse rifle, a Sci-Fi move prop built on real guns has inspired other to create real guns bases on the movie prop.

Everything with star wars was stolen from other sources....everything.

You might be right but I think it would be close. One of the rubber stunt guns from Bladerunner sold for $41,000 back in 2018. The metal close up gun (in the video I posted above that Adam Savage got to play with) was sold at auction in 2009, it was estimated to go for $100-150K and ended up going for $270k But that was thirteen years ago, and before Bladerunner 2049 both of which will increase the perceived value of the original prop. It would be interesting to see what it would go for in todays market, not that I could even afford to go to the auction let along bid on it... :)

And as we are a gun forum, it is a real gun.
