I guess my question is, why do you want a safe that doesn't look like a safe? Is it because you don't want your kids messing around with it, or are you concerned with someone breaking in and going for it, knowing (or hoping) that there are goodies inside?
If it's the kid angle, might I suggest that instead of hiding or disguising them from your kids, you introduce them to the kids, and make sure that they know that it's not OK to touch them without you there? Too many kids have been hurt by guns because they were forbiddeon objects, never explained and shown to otherwise curious kids who found out (many times tragically) for themselves. To me, hiding them from children is a terrible mistake.
That said - if you're looking for a way to hide them from criminals - don't bother. Make your priority a strong safe, and bolt it down or otherwise secure it to your house in some way. Criminals who break in to a house will upturn and search through everything, regardless of what it looks like. They are not usually fooled by disguises, because if it's small enough to walk away with or easy enough to remove, they'll try to take it. If it's bolted to your floor, that's not so easy. Not that that will deter them completely, but it's better than some cheesy disguise.
