Handgun Pictures

Couple shots of my Colt SAA with the old cavalry length bbl. Amazing, what a difference the background makes in the look of the gun. Best load: Lyman's 454190 sized to 0.454" cast from wheel weight alloy with a pinch of tin, backed by 8.0 gr of Unique. Even with 3/4 century eyes, it'll do two inches at 25 yds for me. Best regards, Rod

Just to show lightning can strike more than once in a short time frame! After going decades not finding a Rolling Block pistol, I got the old 1867 Navy I showed here earlier, and then shortly after the 1891 A HUBALEK Target Rolling Block pistol. Then a few weeks ago yet another 1891 Target pistol was found at a big gun show in Colorado! This one was built by HM POPE and fitted with a Pope target barrel that's threaded for a silencer for indoor matches. Pope built a very small number of these for use by shooters in the first US Olympics held in St. Louis in 1904. This one is chambered in .22 Short, and has a lightened hammer, trigger tuned, and a over travel stop screw added. Also custom sights front and rear.

Pope above, and Hubalek below. Hubalek was Pope's only apprentice and Pope taught him how to make barrels before Hubalek went out on his own!

I previously bought the single wood case from Hampels for my Hubalek (lower pistol) but then got the HM Pope 2 months later, so ordered a glass top case from him to fit both pistols. The case also has a soft rubber seal built into the lid that can be seen in the second image. It keeps the case sealed when the lid is latched. Shipping was $18, the case $48.
Gorddon Hampel really does nice work at extremely reasonable prices!

That is the most instant disappearance of soda pop I have ever seen. Not to mention the melons.

A bit different Glock M-19 gen 4, custom with Novak steel Sights, cut rifled Match barrel, Magna Ported through the slide, 3# Ghost Maker Rocket trigger, titanium plunger, new springs, new pins, three fitted magazines with mag loader and slam pads..

My Merrills / XLs by Rock Pistol Manufacturing (RPM). One of the best single shot hunting handguns in the world. Interchangeable barrels, silent safety, striker fired, fast lock time. Now out of production.View attachment 1220242
I am right there with you on the Merrill’s. I bought this RPM XL Hunter a few years ago. It is the most accurate .22 I own. I have a set of Talley bases and rings, I am going to put a scope on it at some point. I believe the Rex Merrill’s and RPMs are some of the most overlooked and under appreciated pistols out there. I love mine. FC1114BB-C74B-44CC-848A-96B9637B5F9A.jpeg

really liking the shape and feel of these altamont grips i scored at a discount for my 60-15. They fit the proportions of the 3” nicely.

And since I was playing with the j frames I put an extra stainless cylinder I had on hand into my wife’s m360j making it a two tone; we both agree it looks sharp in this configuration.
