Handguns you'd like them to make

Since they've got the XD available in .45 ACP now, I am hoping for a 10mm version.

Handguns you like them to make

S&W model#27 in carbon steel with a five inch barrel, no safety lock would be outstanding.

Old Dog saith:

High-end, full sized (5") 1911s from ALL makers without the stinkin' front cocking serrations and with arched mainspring housings standard.

More production 1911s from all makers in .38 Super, especially in bright stainless and nickel finishes.

I'll agree heartily and add:
A 1911 Commander length DOUBLE-STACK .38 Super in carbon, stainless & nickel. Hey Springfield & Para-Ordnance, are you listening?

Howabout-

A keltec P32 in .22lr,:)

Kahr in .22 and .32 ala the P32:what:

Highcap Walther P.22 and a tiny Walther P22

A 1oo shot .22 rifle with a helical mag (similar to the mag tube on a 12 guage pump)- yes I'm familiar with Calico.

A more affordable M14/M1a ala the Norinco/Polytech

A reliable Tec 9 and Tec 22 at the same price.

a 10mm P-Series from Ruger. Don't change anything about it other than what you must for the 10mm auto.

Low price, burly, reliable 10mm slinger sounds awesome. Maybe some higher capacity magazines, but other than that...is just extra icing.

A Walther P22 in 9mm. single stack, 7-8 shot HAMMER/safety 9mm in a small, light, sweet-pointing package. This would be easy to do. I do not want people telling me look at a Kahr or a taurus, They do not have the same feel or a HAMMER that i am looking for.

While not a handgun, a Select or Semi subgun patterned somewhat on the AUG in 45 or 10 mm but without the buck rogers styling. A sort of bullpup design that would allow a legal barrel (16") in the smallest legal package and would allow a true highcap magazine, (a 30 round grease-gun mag or similar.)

Smith & Wesson model 41.....in stainless steel. Complete with all the early accessories like detachable muzzle brake, weights, etc. (sigh)
Oh man...you're making me drool!

Sorry if I missed these but how about an inexpensive 1911 in .22 for us Bullseye shooters? The Kimber is the only one and it's pricey. So is a Springfield + Marvel.

And while we’re at it, lets see some 1911s without that pointless manual safety. The grip safety is good enough!

OK - I've got one - & I'm really surprised it isn't available:

a 5 shot, 3", .38SPL or .357MAG, fixed sights, SS, J-frame S&W.

I want the following;

True Subcompact Sig in 9mm with traditional SA/DA trigger in a polymer frame the same size as the Glock 26.

Springfield Armory Milspec in Commander size chambered in 9mm

A better quality 9mm carbine that takes Glock mags. I know about the Oly arms conversions and the Keltec. But I want something different something with a Glock like trigger.

I still want a modern break top revolver in .357 or .45 LC

Damn you, Russia! I wanted that MP412 REX! You had to go and break my dreams!

Here are mine:

H&R Sportsman 999 in Stainless, and with a more robust rear sight.

A Ruger 1911. Yeah, I know everyone hates Rugers, but its probably the only 1911 I would ever be interested in.

Not that I would be super interested in being the test dummy, but wouldn't it be interesting to see what a polymer revolver, in any caliber, would look like? I am not a big Polymer fan, and I for by god sure am not advocating poly revos as a viable concept, but it would still be sort of cool to see what could be done.

I know some companies have made them, particularly Coonan, but I always thought a .357 mag auto would be sweet.

I would like to see Ruger come out with a commander sized version of the P-90. I know they make some smaller .45's, but I specifically want the P-90, and I specifically want that because I can change the grips.

This last one isn't specific to any gun really, but I would just like to see some change in the industry as a whole. I am not asking for a revolutionary new gun, so much as I am asking for some interesting new designs. At this point, 1911's are about as interesting to me as watching cats sleep, and every other auto not a 1911 is pretty much the same old song and dance, as is the case with Revos. Hell, maybe its time that the industry started introducing "Concept" guns, much like car companies introduce concept cars. They can gauge public reaction without having to invest in a production run, and if nothing else, we can see something new and interesting in the gun magazine.

Just a few ...

1) I'd like to see a smaller, carry-friendly XD-45, along the lines of the XD 9mm ultracompact. However, I emailed the saies office at Springfield and got a very terse reply that they had no plans for such a pistol. (Their loss, toots.)

2) Smaller or no, I'd like an XD-45 with a decocker. I don't know if there's something inherent to the design of the gun that makes this impossible, but Eh, this is a thread where that doesn't much matter, right? :) My P345 has a decocker, and so does my Browning BPM-D; decockers seem a good compromise to me between "cocked and locked, safety on" and "need to rack before firing." Seems harder to me to accidentally pull back a hammer than to deactivate most safeties. Heck, I'd like a decocker *and* an external safety.

3) Giving away my prejudices here, but I wish there was a P345 with a grip safety :) That's one thing I really like in the XD, and something I admiire (for its foresight) in the Model 1911.

4) More models of *25 from S&W, i including a revived 3" barrel one, a 2" (c'mon! I know there are some police versions that have it!), and a Model 1,000,025 on the same movie-prop frame as the .500. Overkill, but no harm done :)

1. A Ruger SBH Bisley Hunter in 5-shot .480 Ruger.

2. A factory bobbed S&W 1911 Scandium Commander.

3. Taurus bringing back their full line of big-bore snubbies, or S&W making one that doesn't steal the ugly off an ape!

Too much to list, so I'll just pitch in my "most wanted":

1. Repro Colt 1903/08 Pocket Hammerless, especially in the OSS and General Officer's Pistol versions.

2. Affordable southpaw 1911s (I know a guy who builds 'em from custom Caspian parts, but they're over $2K each)

3. Para doublestacks in .50GI .

4. The above with multiple top-half assemblies for .45Super/ACP, 10mm, .40, .357Sig and 9mm NATO/Parabellum.

5. Left-handed versions of items #3 and #4.

6. New-build Auto-Ordnance 1927A-5 models (think Thompson, but legally classed as a pistol)
