I have shot a rented Beretta Stampede (Uberti) one-handed and I like the way it pointed. At 7 yards, I was pretty decent with it. The silhouette target had some definite "Owies!" in or near the center.

Do Schofield replicas point as well? I have never held one--just drooled on a case at a Cabela's where one was on display. They look as if they would be heavier and not point as well, but I haven't held one so I don't know.

Any opinions would be welcome.

Thanks!

Schofield

I had wanted a Schofield since I was a boy...Okay, okay..for a VERY long time! I just got one a couple of weeks ago. I'm glad I did. I have handled a fair share of SA revolvers...I like the feel of the Schofield. I had heard that they were too heavy, and that they were for folks with larger hands. I don't find that to be the case. I have a 7" barrelled Schofield, and small to med. sized hands. The gun points well, and it is not difficult at all to cock and shoot duelist style. I will order a 5" barrelled Schofield next though. I will use the 7" in a cross-draw, and the 5 " on my strong side. My armpit seem to get in the way of a strong sided draw!

Regards,
LCR
