I load 102 gr. golden saber over 2.9 grains of accurate #2 in my kel tec .380 for sd. Any body got some good loads they wanna share??? I'm hopin to learn a few things here.
I use3.8 gr of Unique with str primer.
I use this load for 90-100 gr. std, plated & XTP.
Speer manual goes to 4.6 max for the 90 gr. JHP
I use this in a PPK, Kel-tec & sig .380
Nice comfortable load.
It will get the job done w/out beating you to death........................
You go more than 3.8 gr--work up very carefully !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need to start reloading for my Ruger LCP, .380 ammo prices are killing me. I bought the dies already and I want to buy a mold so that I can cast my own bullets. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. Does anyone use the Lee 105 grain rn bullet?
I use a lot of lee stuff, my press, dies, hand primer, and beam scale are all Lee made. I do like their stuff. Right now I'm trying out 3.2 grains unique, 3.0 grains Green Dot, and 4.3 grains Accurate No. 5 all over 95 gr. FMJ, with mixed brass and CCI/Speer primers. I wanted to start a thread for pocket guns like the Kel-Tec because mine is so picky, maybe I will find a good recipe from somebody out there...
Correction that's 3.2 gr. Green Dot
3.8 gr. Unique
And the Acc. No. 5 is correctly listed as 4.3 gr. (note: those are all start loads)
Just tested the Green Dot, Unique, and No. 5 loads.
I fired 10 rounds each, loading 5 rounds at a time using the same magazine for each firing session. I experienced one jam with the unique 3.8 grain load and no jams at all for the Green Dot and Accurate No.5 loads. All loads used a 95 grain TMJ.
I'm going to try to repeat these same findings again @ a later date.
