I'm sure other folks have figured this out and I'm just a slow learner, but with Clint Smith's help I recently realized you can use the flutes in the revolver cylinder not only to line up single or double loaded rounds, but to line up your speed loader as well.
Here's what I'm doing. I load the safariland push-type loader and put my index finger on the exposed side of a cartridge. It doesn't matter which, then I load *as if I were loading just the one.* So the same method of matching my index finger to my thumb on the flute works. Voila, all the rounds line up without the usual fiddling. I just tried it with the notoriously tricky full wadcutter .38's and it works for them too.
A "duh" moment for me, but I thought I'd share it FWIW.
