Its Easter weekend ( only holiday that rabbits [bunnies] lay color eggs with prizes inside like Cracker Jacks...
So, I'm trying to quit smoking so I'm trying to find projects to keep me busy, and I don't feel like going upstairs (or back to the house) and listen to the TV blaring out the latest redone reality murder crime show...again...so I'm repurposing a cigar box and wine box for my Black Powder stuff...
So far this is what I have...

Don't know where this will end up but its a start... Happy Easter

Congrats my friend on your adventure to stop smoking. It is one of the hardest things I ever did, and one of my most satisfying accomplishments other than seeking the Lord.
I was 30 years deep into Copenhagen. (The good stuff). It starts moment by moment. Then minutes. Then hours. Then days. And so forth...you can do it. keeping busy is paramount.
Sincere best wishes to you.

I found wooden silverware boxes at antique stores that would make spectacular presentation cases for revolvers. Or whatever.

As far as the TV goes. Utube is your friend. Anything and everything is there. Hunting. Fishing. Camping. I got on an Alaska kick lately. Moose hunting and fishing mainly.

One minute at a time on the nicotine. You can DO it!;)

I just want to reinforce the you can do it sentiment on the stop smoking. I smoked for 30 years and I LOVED it as much as anyone can. I tried numerous times to quit and always failed. Then 9 1/2 years ago I quit and it stuck. It was hard, very hard, but I made it. I am so glad I did it and never miss it now. Staying busy with your hands helps, it helped me. Those re-purposed boxes look great.

I learnt to smoke from a young age, smoked Faros. Even picked cotton for them. In the times before child labor laws in Mexico. If it wasn't cotton, I picked chiles. I was maybe 7 when I had my first smoke. They're not around anymore. Been smoking ever since. I used to smoke maybe once month , but then life took a turn for the worst. Drink a lot lately too.

Mr. Zartman, you have my utmost respect for your endeavor. I have one smoke left in my pack, last one. I'm quitting.

I love what you've done with the boxes , it'll be something I'll have to take inspiration from.

Use that inspiration from within. Not from me, but reapplying a humidor as a gun box has been a interesting outcome :D

Gobsauce, good for you on quitting! If I remember you're a student at a University? Keep thinking about that degree at the end and being able live long enough to make a good career from it. I had both Mother in law and father in law die from lung cancer, both were lifelong smokers. Good luck to you and stay on course, it's gonna get hard, but after 2 weeks you'll have it in the bag and its downhill from there.
