Harrisburg PA, Farm Complex show -- what to expect?

June 9/10 there's a gun show at the Hburg farm complex, and I hope to get to it. Anyone have a good idea of what I should expect to find? I am not looking to buy anything in particular (though I know I'd be leading myself into temptation), but of the few gun shows I've been to in my life, they've varied from "small and dinky" to "really quite impressive."

Any comments on the Harrisburg show's previous iterations?

If I had the money for it (I don't), I'd really like to poke around for some interesting form of EBR Given that I don't, I still might look for a stripped lower.

If it'd the Mid-Atlantic Arms Show, I believe that it's the biggest one of its kind on the east coast. You can find some good stuff, some not. It at least has its variety.

I live near Harrisburg; been to a few of these; it's pretty darned big as far as shows go; hundreds of tables; lots of stuff; some good local area shops enhance their business by going to these (eg: Backwoods Outfitters ~Lancaster County; Stonybrook Shooters' Supply~York, PA); class III dealers; some militaria; accessories suppliers (holsters, mags, etc); smaller operations & FFL transfer dealers clearing out collections; some dealers' tables look like they are distributors rather than dealers; dealers that specialize in 'collectables', etc...plan to browse and network on Saturday & haggle on Sunday if you like trying to swindle a deal; nothing further to say other than buyer beware and know what you are getting before you part with your money

Last time I was at the local gunshows, Allentown has better ammo prices but Harrisburg has a better selection of guns and accessories.

I got a brand new Bianchi Military Holster at Harrisburg for $20!

Harrisburg always has lots of ARs, AKs, SKSs, Nagants, and a good selection of handguns.

I was at that one a few years ago, and it was the biggest I'd ever attended. quite a bit of variety, and I found a few good deals if memory serves.

since my bunker is

a 125 miles east of there I have found that show to be like be a good dream the bad thing is I can't bring all the things that I would like to buy back to the bunker without the SS stopping me at the border. The texas border would not be as hard to cross with 10 people in the trunk and I would get in less trouble. Then again crossing my border with 10 illegals in the trunk would be no problem. but if at the bottom of the pile there was a hollow point I would be off to prison and the 10 Illegal’s would go on there way (only in America):banghead:

Is this at the same place the "Outdoors Show" was held?

If so, will it be as big and will the parking situation be the same (park off site and catch the shuttle?)

Parking

I have been there many times and never had more than a 10 min walk to the car. It can be hard in 80+ temp carrying 200lbs of ammo though

The best show around, lots of good stuff not available (but perfectly legal to own) in O'malleys kingdom. Definitely worth the trip , plenty of parking.

Farm Show Complex

There used to be MAAC shows in the spring and the fall. Last year they worked out some sort of deal to combine the smaller in between shows so they all fall under the MAAC umbrella.

About the same time they moved the gun show from the older part of the building on the South side to the new part on the North side. The new room is more like a standard convention center and has better heat and air conditioning.

The spread is usually bigger than the Rochester Dome shows and at least as big as the Syracuse fairgrounds shows.

I usually figure on spending at least 3 hours to be able to see everything at normal trolling speed. Lot's of variety. Decent lighting. The aisles are wide enough that you're not elbow to elbow. The parking lot is a good walk across pavement and sidewalks though. Bring wheels if you plan on leaving with heavy stuff.
