Well I am shocked that this guy is anti-gun. Did anybody else know this?

Quote:

While Ford has starred in many shoot-'em-up thrillers, he said he abhors America's liberal gun laws.
"I'm very troubled by the proliferation of arms, at the fact so many people in the United States carry guns," he said, according to the AAP. "It obviously contributes greatly to the crime problems we have. I'm sure gun laws should be strengthened in the United States. I just don't know the correct mechanism."

Another actor that makes a living using guns does not see the light. Sorry Harrison. I can not afford around the clock protection.

(I wonder if he has a carry permit? It wouldn't surprise me.)

He is no longer an "A-list" moviestar. This means that he'll pander to whatever left-wing orgs. he can in order to remain in the spotlight.

Typical Hollywood hypocrite, he critisizes certain movie types but has made those type of movies, he crtisizes gun but played parts where he uses guns etc. You can add Schwartzenegger to that list too ,he loves the Brady bill.

That is really disappointing about him. I know I saw a picture of him and Speilberg holding shotguns at somekind of celebrity skeet shoot. I thought it was even in a gun mag...like GunGames maybe, when it was still around?
I think Speilberg is also one of these 'People shouldn't have guns, but it's okay for me to have a collection of fully functional WWII machine guns' types...sheesh. I need to find that interview again.

Also, saw Tom Hanks on a show in the UK. They showed an interview of him from around the SPR days, and he said he didn't like handguns. Much like Ford, there's too many of them and everyone carrying them causes crime, blah blah...oh well.

David Dochovni (sp) aka Agent Mulder, also very anti gun. Granted, at least as Agent Mulder he was always loosing his gun, or not using it well. Now, I sure hope Gillian Anderson isn't anti, but....I'd bet she is...sigh AND pout over that.

The list of pro-gun celebs just gets smaller and smaller. About the only one I know of that is a true gunner is Lou Feringo (The REAL Hulk!) I read an article about his IPSC guns...very cool. (Also in GunGames I believe.)

Ford is just as much a hippocrite as Arnie is. They both made their living from guns in movies. SO sh*t on them both:fire:

Oh, dear, that dismays me, because as a middle-aged woman, I've always loved looking at Harrison Ford. He's ruggedly handsome! Why'd he have to go and ruin it? Well, I suppose eye candy is eye candy. I'll bet a lot of the pin-ups you guys look at are anti, but you don't bother to find out since that's not what you're there for. ;)

Ford is typical

of the 'entertainment' crowd.
These people live in a TOTAL fantasy land - to wit -
1) they play 'pretend' to make a (very good) living.
2) therefore they never have to 'grow up' (Peter Pan syndrome)
3) they are adored/gushed over/envied/loved etc etc etc
4) they are surrounded by an entourage composed of
people who depend on the 'actor' for employment
and therefore would NEVER disagree or say 'you're
full of s**t' to ANYTHING the 'actor/employer 'spews' forth.
5) Interviewers seem to hang on their every word as though
it was coming from Mt. Olympus (envy/adoration)
6) the 'bigger' ones live in what could be called fortresses

After living this way for a while, human nature says that
one will start believing one's own bulls**t. I mean, why not.
EVERYONE around me ALWAYS agrees with me so I MUST
BE RIGHT !!!
Nevermind the fact that many of these 'agreers' are
employed by you and the others who gush over you
and hang on your every word (pronouncement ??) are
usually not the deepest thinkers in the land !!!!!!!!

"...Another actor that makes a living using guns ..." He does not make his living using firearms. He makes his excessive living pretending like he uses firearms. When people stop using these bozos as role models their lives will improve immensely.

Understand one thing, these people live in the world of make-believe. They don’t have any great insight on the world we live in. When you make 10 million dollars a movie live in a 3 million dollar home have 3 “girlfriends†and a wife and 4 kids does that suddenly make you a better person? No. It just gives you a bigger head. And with that big head you now have a sense of greater worth, greater than anyone does that is not in your class. Why should it matter what any “actor†has to say? It does not matter; it only gets airtime. But the sad thing is there are people that will base all of their opinions off what others tell them. They look at these people that are on there TVs and are in all the papers and mags at the grocery stores as a greater person than they are because they cant think for them selves. I could go on, but I hope the point is made. Think, learn and live.
