I have almost the exact same thing as Mace except that I have a burris pistol scope mounted in scout configuration.
The rifle is excellent and the company does excellent work. This rifle will impress you in terms of accuracy. It is far more accurate than I am. Further, now that good mags are showing up again, there is really no reason to feel anything but confidence with this setup. And yes, I do have an AR (DPMS + CMMG 16" 1X7) which is not as accurate as this is. If you wish that you had a pistol grip but cant because you are in NY, than you will always want one regardless. But, this setup is quite good and I'm sure you'll be pleased.

I have spent time and money with ASI ,would have to look up the exact cost but have a ss .900 20" barrel,trigger job,pillar bedding,new stock blk syn not Hogue,thier mi carbine copy site or m1carbine rear site, new enlarged gas block ,recoil buffer , Cannot think , Carl was areasonable man.It was hard for me to communicate via the internet and phone,Pricey ,Hail yes! Worth ever penny to me altho I did not git exzctly what I wanted.
More business with them .Yes with conditions. My rifle and parts arrived in a card board box stuff full of old pulled apart gun magazine all wrickled up!
the kind you read. I spent a solid WEEK giittin thosepages ironed out and in order numerically so I could read them HA HA HA HA, really is funny to me now.
Next time I ship any lamp or boat anchor parts will be in my own foam lined shipping /carry case.
I wonder if that gun shop smithshop forsale in the Denver area is the old ASI location? Saw it in another thread somewhere.
